Emergency excavation work at property in Southampton

We were recently called out to an emergency job near Southampton, where a team of contractors had attempted a deep excavation to install a tank at a domestic property.

From the results pictured here, it’s clear that attempting a job of this size without the correct skills and equipment can be problematic.

We mobilised at short notice to backfill the 4-metre deep excavation safely in layers. We extracted the attempted shoring before any subsidence or damage occurred to the property and the neighbouring houses, as well as tidied up the mess left in the garden.

We’re coordinating a new strategy with the property owner to complete the work, and we will post an update once the new tank is installed.

This is a reminder not to underestimate the skill and planning required for excavation work.

If you have any deep excavation and piling needs, please email us Contact@stccontracts.co.uk or call 02381 550286
